Buenos Aires, Feb 10 (NA) -- Within the framework of the public oral debate in the case known as the 'Notebooks of Bribes', the defense attorneys for the accused presented their arguments on Tuesday, seeking to challenge the investigation and propose a possible nullification, as former President Cristina Kirchner and former Minister Julio De Vido had already done. At this stage of the hearings, the preliminary arguments of former officials had already been heard, and today it was the turn of the defense lawyers for the businessmen and other accused individuals. The members of Federal Oral Court No. 7, composed of judges Enrique Méndez Signori, Fernando Canero, and Germán Castelli, heard the defense of Rodolfo Armando Poblete and Benjamín Gabriel Romero, general manager and president of Hidrovía S.A.; businessman Jorge Alberto Tasselli, president of Faraday SAICF and General Plastic Corp S.A.; former executive director of the Yacyretá Binational Entity, Oscar Alfredo Thomas; and president of Albanesi S.A. Group, Armando Roberto Loson. Meanwhile, the defense of Miguel Marcelino Aznar, president of Vialco S.A. and Decavial SAICAC, made a single preliminary argument, as he requested the removal of the Financial Information Unit (UIF) from the complaint. This is a claim backed by presidential decree 274/2025, although the agency has already been reinstated as a private accuser on several occasions, as reported by the Noticias Argentinas agency. Subsequently, Court No. 7 adjourned until Thursday at 9 a.m., when the preliminary arguments of the defense of Juan Bautista Pacella, representative of Constructora Dos Arroyos S.A. and accused of paying a bribe, will be heard.
